New York, February 9, 2012 – The February 8th update to the U.S. Department’s Travel Warning to Mexico does not include the city of Puerto Vallarta. The popular vacation destination Puerto Vallarta is a leading destination in Mexico and continues to offer a wide range of shore excursions and a safe experience for all international visitors., located more than 1,200 miles from the border between Mexico and the US where other drug related violence has taken place, the same distance that separates Los Angeles to Dallas, or New York to Miami.
Puerto Vallarta continues to be one of the safest destinations for international travelers. A recent security/threat assessment study conducted by Thomas Dale & Associates (TDA), a leading global investigative and security firm, found that the number of negative events involving foreigners or non-foreigners is fractional compared to the large ex-pat resident population and the millions of visitors that come to vacation each year in Puerto Vallarta. The study also found that visitors to the destination feel safe and continue to visit Puerto Vallarta numerous times throughout their lifetime.
Highly regarded media and their readers have continuously voted Puerto Vallarta as one of their favorite destinations, giving it numerous accolades and awards, including, Conde Nast Traveler Magazine: “Favortie Destination” for 5 years in a row; Travelocity: one of 10 top “Summer Family Destinations” in 2011, and AARP: one of the “Top 10 Best Places to Retire.”

Right outside our Bucerias Office we were participants in the 3rd Annual Bucerias Street Festival on Lazaro Cardenas here in Bucerias! We sponsored the wonderful artist Coquis Renteria Castro who is quite a talented artist in her chalk art display done right on the street in front of our the Ron Morgan Properties Office/Art Gallery. She did a fabulous job and although she did not win the competition, we were proud of her efforts and felt she should have been chosen the winner!
Along with the Artist’s Chalk Art Competition there were many vendors including food vendors from the restaurants around Bucerias. Plenty of food and beverages and of course entertainment to make the whole block a “Block Party” as well!
The Street Festival is 3 Fold:
The Bucerias Chalk Walk, featuring Madonarri Style Chalk Drawings on the Street, this Year’s Theme is The Cultural of Mexico
The Taste Of Riviera Nayarit, featuring Restaurants from all over the Bahia de Banderas
The Bucerias Craft Faire, featuring Crafts and Artisans of the area.
This year the Street Festival will benefit Manos de Amor Orphanage and PEACE. Thanks for all who participated and we look forward to our continued sponsorship of an local artist in next year’s event.

Every Monday right inside and outside the Bucerias Art Walk Plaza we enjoy the Weekly Bucerias Market right across the street from our Bucerias Real Estate and Art Gallery office located on Lazaro Cardenas 108A. The market combines some food, artisans, and other local vendors selling their products to the tourists and locals living in the area. Fresh empanadas stuffed with spinach, smoked marlin, shrimp, or even sweet ones made from whole grain flour. You also get the flavors of the local vendors that bake and prepare many other fine baked products, such as breads, pies, and other desserts.
Then come the artisans who create the own jewelry and glass items right on the spot in front of you! The other usual permanent stores are also open and you can enjoy their usual items as well include the “Broken Glass” store that features a lot of creative items made from bits of broken glass. Relax, stroll, shop and enjoy your little shopping experience every Monday from 9am-1pm at the Bucerias Weekly Market.
Then stop buy and see how we can help you invest in your dream home as there are plenty of deals around the whole Banderas Bay area and it seems that the sellers are taking a look at all offers. www.ronmorgan.net

Preparations are in full swing by everyone and the Banderas Bay area is just full of people, the beaches are full, traffic is heavy no matter where you go, and that can only mean one thing! Christmas this past week and New Years coming up tomorrow brings so many Mexicans to town to celebrate the New Year in addition the the usual snowbirds and vacationers from up north where the weather has certainly became cold and wintry.
It is a great time of year and I think things seem even busier than they were in April for Easter, which typically has been the busiest week of the year. Maybe it is the Mexican economy doing very well? Maybe it is the anticipation of 2012 and the end of the Mayan calendar? Maybe it is simply time to quit worrying about the world economy as no of us can really do anything about it?
In any case it is great to see the crowds, all the rentals are full, and everyone is here to have a great time in this great city we are privileged to call home! Happy New Year Everyone! Feliz Ano Nuevo a Todos!

Watching the last few years of the real estate market we realize that timing can not always be perfect! A few of us were lucky enough to make sales on our properties about 3.5 years ago and sold at the top. Prices have continued to become lower and lower every time we think they are stabilizing, they do not seem to. Even the Mexican owner who has no debt on the property is listening to offers that they would not have even considered even just last year! We just made a sale on one of the best beaches on the south shore called Playa Gemeles for a studio condo that was drastically below the sellers offering price.
What does all that mean? It means that we feel the time is right to buy and there are deals being made every day now that are sometimes ridiculously low, but we are telling our buyers……..”Make an Offer!” All the seller can do is say no or counter offer and we hope to meet somewhere in between. And it seems we are meeting in between to close the sales.
So if you have been watching the market and wonder if it can go much lower? We do not believe so, but “Make an Offer” and we will see how it goes!

Being an art buyer himself for many years in the United States and around the world, Ron is going to be exhibiting and selling some of the items he has collected over the years during his travels. “This is simply a carry-over of my passion for art and art collectables that I have amassed, and I look forward to sharing them with other art enthusiasts”. While Ron Morgan Gallery currently has only a limited number of artists displaying their works of art, he is working to bring in many more before the season begins. “We are excited about joining the Bucerias Art Walk for the upcoming 2011-2012 season and look forward to being a part of the community”.
