Michael Holland was born into the travel industry. His father began a charter flight business after the Navy, and Michael began flying with him at a young age. Michael’s transition from air to sea was complete when he became the youngest chief purser for Royal Caribbean International. He served as diplomatic liaison, was responsible for more than $1 million in casino transactions and payroll, dealt with immigration and customs, and interacted with celebrities, heads of state, and royal families.
He sailed the world many times during his 12 years at sea. Michael's next adventure was to operate a Holland Travel division specializing in niche travel groups, such as international yacht charters and wine club tours and cruises. Michael, along with his partner Ramuncho, operate both Holland Travel and Puerto Vallarta Villas, a boutique vacation rental and property management company.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and he received additional training at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management - Klessheim of Salzburg, Austria. He has visited more than 70 countries. In November 2010, Michael and Ramuncho created an alliance with Ron Morgan Properties, which now operate offices in Bucerias and Puerto Vallarta. Ron Morgan Properties is one of the leaders in vacation property sales in the Bay of Banderas.
